Time of Teaching

Teachers' teaching time is handled by the Heads of Department:

Schedule and rooms

The planning of rooms is handled by Student Affairs and Programmes at ITU. We base the assignment of rooms on the course's room history (theory room, PC room, group room) unless you or the Head of the Study Programme inform us otherwise.

The teaching schedule at ITU is normally divided in the following intervals:

Morning courses: 8.00 – 10.00
Day courses: 10.00 - 12.00
Afternoon courses: 12.00 – 14.00, 14.00 - 16.00, 16.00 - 18.00
Evening courses: 17.00 - 19.00, 19.00 - 21.00

A course taught at ITU consists of a lecture filling out exactly one time interval and exercises filling out one time interval as well.

Teaching Hour

In TimeEdit we schedule lectures and exercises for whole hours but the actual duration of a “teaching hour” is 50 minutes. It is common practice to end the class 10 minutes before next class begins to make sure that everybody can get out (and get in) in time.

Student Affairs and Programmes use the scheduling application TimeEdit. ITU staff and students can view the schedule from the web address: https://timeedit.itu.dk
Please be aware that all information regarding date, time and place is stated in TimeEdit - not in the course base!
